Adding Customers

Create Customer Manually

  1. Navigate to Customers
  2. Click New Customer or +
  3. Fill in customer details
  4. Save

Create While Making Documents

When creating an invoice or estimate:

  1. Click New Customer in customer field
  2. Enter basic details
  3. Customer created and selected
  4. Complete full profile later

Customer Profile View

The customer profile shows:

Overview Tab

  • Contact information
  • Tags
  • Quick stats (total invoiced, paid, outstanding)

History Tab

  • All invoices
  • All estimates
  • Jobs
  • Payments
  • Communications

Notes Tab

  • Internal notes about customer
  • Not visible to customer

Editing Customers

  1. Open customer profile
  2. Click Edit
  3. Update information
  4. Save changes

Merging Duplicate Customers

If you have duplicate customer records:

  1. Identify which profile has the most complete information
  2. Manually update the primary profile with any missing details from the duplicate
  3. Reassign any invoices, estimates, or jobs from the duplicate to the primary customer
  4. Delete the duplicate profile

What information is required to create a customer?
Only a name is required. Email is needed if you want to send invoices or estimates electronically.

How do I find and merge duplicate customers?
Search for the customer name, open one profile, click More > Merge, and select the duplicate to combine.
