  • Import customers from CSV spreadsheets — download template, fill in data, upload and map columns
  • Export your customer list to CSV for backup, marketing, or migration
  • Only Name is required; Email needed for electronic invoicing

Importing and Exporting Customers

Bulk import customers from spreadsheets or export your customer list.

Importing Customers

CSV Import

Bulk import from spreadsheet:

  1. Go to Customers > Import
  2. Download template CSV
  3. Fill in customer data
  4. Upload completed CSV
  5. Map columns to fields
  6. Confirm import

CSV Format

Required columns:

  • Name - Customer name (required for all records)

Recommended columns:

  • Email - Required if you want to send invoices/estimates electronically

Optional columns:

  • Company, Phone, Mobile
  • Address fields
  • Notes

Note: Customers without email addresses can still be created, but you won't be able to email them invoices or estimates directly from WorkSnap.

Exporting Customers

Export your customer list:

  1. Go to Customers
  2. Click Export
  3. Choose format (CSV)
  4. Download file

Use for:

  • Backup
  • Marketing tools
  • Mailing lists
  • Analysis

Common Questions

What format should my import file be?
Use CSV format. Download our template for the correct column headers and formatting.
Will importing create duplicates?
WorkSnap doesn't automatically detect duplicates during import. Review your data first or merge duplicates afterward.
Can I import customers from QuickBooks or other software?
Export from your other software to CSV format, then import into WorkSnap using our import tool.
