Deleting Customers

Remove customers you no longer need from your database.

Deleting a Customer

Remove customers no longer needed:

  1. Open customer profile
  2. Click Delete or More > Delete
  3. Confirm deletion

What Happens When You Delete

Warning: Deleting a customer permanently removes their profile and contact information. This action cannot be undone.

What Gets Deleted

  • Customer profile and contact details
  • Tags associated with the customer
  • Notes attached to the customer

What Gets Preserved

Associated documents retain basic customer information:

  • Invoices - Keep customer name and address for records
  • Estimates - Keep customer details for history
  • Jobs - Keep customer reference but unlink from profile

These documents will no longer link to a customer profile, but your financial records remain intact.

Before You Delete

Consider these alternatives:

  1. Archive instead - If you might need the customer later, consider adding an "Inactive" tag instead of deleting
  2. Export first - Download a backup of your customer list before removing records
  3. Check for open balances - Ensure any outstanding invoices are resolved

Bulk Deletion

WorkSnap Pro does not support bulk customer deletion to prevent accidental data loss. Delete customers one at a time.
